For the Crafters in us this site gw2crafts.net/ is a must for leveling our profession cheaply and quickly. Each guide will state how much gold is needed, how much you can possibly make back and the total sum with costs and profits included.
There are two types of guide normal and fast
Normal = cheaper but slower to craft to 400
Fast = expensive but you can do it within 10-20 minutes
It will then list all items needed to level from 0-400 in any profession (Cooking can be done the cheapest via hearts making it an excellent way to level from your main level 80 can buy a lot of the account bound items needed) and break them down into Vendor bought, Hearts or the Trading post.
it will then simply show you the steps to leveling in each tier as shown below
Cost: 3641 ( Rolling Total: 3641) (3641 = 36 silver 41 copper)

Make: 2 Green Rifle Stock
Make: 6 Green Short-Bow Stave
Make: 4 Green Torch Handle
Make: 12 Rawhide String
Discover: Apprentice Maintenance Oil
